For sale is a Drake SW-4 shortwave receiver. This is a simple, early Drake unit that was designed specifically for AM reception and is well known for its warm, full audio.
The receiver features Drake’s unique push pull audio amplifier which gives it excellent tone when listening to broadcast stations. It is a very enjoyable radio for casual shortwave and AM broadcast listening.
The power switch has been hardwired on as the original switch wore out. Aside from that it operates as expected and remains a solid piece of vintage Drake gear.
A great little collector’s receiver with that unmistakable Drake build quality.
