On offer is one of the many Hills 2 metre yagis that I have used over time. It is in used condition but still very good.
And if you look closely, there is a second Yagi available, NOS, never used. A nice offer for both, yes, 2 x 2m 10element yagi's will be considered. But only sensible offers will be condidered. : - )
The yagi was designed to be used between 137Mhz - 144Mhz.It was not until about ~ 1980 when I was working closely with the Late VK5ZJB/VK5JM, that this 5A yagi could be trimmed and tuned so easily to the 2m band, with just a few small snippets taken off eight of the elements (shorten the length, to raise the frequency) to 146.5 Mhz covering our VHF band completely. How convenient.
Those measurements I will hand a hard copy to any prospective buyer

So we experimented with our newly found observations, cut the elements to varying lengths and, field tested the signals at various power levels between Morphett Vale and Ardrossan, straight across a very clear path over St Vincent Gulf.
Result; we could not split the difference between other commercially made 11 element 2m yagis specifically designed for 2m and, our modified 10 element Channel 5A yagi which was cut to 146 Mhz.
An Australian manufactured product which was dedicated to 2m during that era, claimed a 14.5 dbi using 11 elements. This Channel 5A is so close, measurements can not differentiate it between other commercially built yagis, even those from the US with field strength measurements !
All that is needed to get you up on air is a nice ¼ wave length balun, either wound or folded, and away you go. I can supply the 75 Ohm coax and crimp/solder connectors if needed to complete a balun. Too easy.
An example is supplied here with one picture revealing the NOS antenna against the used one. The NOS is a pearler never used, but is not available in this offer, just an example picture.
This makes the yagi very convenient for those who do portable work as the elements can be folded along the boom for easy transport !
So this used 2m yagi is available at a very reasonable offer and, it has a brand new mast clamp. The boom has also been drilled for either vertical or horizontal polarization.
Unfortunately, it can be pick up only, as the boom length is around ` 3m, unless you can arrange your own courier, with the ele3ments folded against the boom.
Payment can only be made with Direct Deposit or Paypal prior too or at time of pick up.
