On offer is my last Commercially built yagi by VK3ATN, 27 Element 70cm, 420Mhz – 450Mhz. Boom length 3.05 metres (12’). It is in great working condition. Ready to go.
Gain: 16.7 dbi
Beam width: at 3 db point is 18 degrees.
Front to back ratio: 20 db minimum.
Feed Impedance: 50 ohm balanced.
VSWR: Less that 1.2:1 across the band.
Balun: encapsulated with N female connector.
Here is a rare opportunity to own one of the most famous beams that were commercially built by Ray Naughton, one of the most famous of VK Amateur Operators.
Ray & I had many laughs during my trading period with him (Passed away 2012, 83 years of age). This beam described by Ray in his own words, “The 70cm BEAST”. How true he was.
Ray made history in the Australian Radio Community by defying the expers in becoming the first VK Amateur ever to have achieved Moon Bounce signals, you can read his story below, few on this site would remember Ray.

So I offer this piece of history to any amateur who wishes to use and point this “Beast” in any direction, you wont be disappointed.
Purchase can be made with either Direct Debit or Paypal. Postage is NOT an option, pick up only due to the boom dimensions. Even though the boom is a two piece, I would not dare or recommend separating the boom, it is too valuable. However, if you wish for a Friend to P/U for you, you can arrange that Interstate transport.
