WANTED: Yaesu FT-7900 – the dual-band classic that works without needing firmware updates, smartphone pairing, or asking for my email address. It just turns on, transmits, and behaves like rigs used to before everything needed an app and a cloud account.
I am looking for a good-condition FT-7900 to “Make my station mobile again.” I am not chasing anything mint or shrink-wrapped—just something that transmits, receives, and the audio is clearer than Skype calls.
I am not expecting showroom perfection. I am interested if it powers up, holds frequencies in memory, and does not produce smoke on TX. I’d like a mounting bracket, but I can live without it, or a box.
Let me know what you have hiding in the back of the shack because there’s a spot on my dashboard waiting for it.
