Yaesu FT 747GX with Power supply FP 757HD
This is a “Parts Only” sale given that the transceiver requires repairs as the receiver side is low in sensitivity while the TX side is OK in all modes.
When checked several months ago, it was fully functional so the fault maybe a quite simple fix knowing that the usual historical fault with this series was attended to some time ago.
The power supply being the HD model (the Yaesu heavy duty model option) is 100% OK and the offering today reflects the value of the power supply with the transceiver being valued as parts only.
The power supply has been modified by removal of the power switch on the front panel and is now controlled by the transceiver power switch.
This modification could easily be reversed if so desired.
Physical presentation is excellent and is better than most radios of its age.
Here is a good winter season challenge for someone who could end up with a great serviceable HF station.
I believe and from memory when I first tested this transceiver, that the MARS mod had been performed on this rig at some time in the past.
Pick up only for this pair from Caulfield South as the Power Supply would end up quite costly relative the price on offer.
Included in the deal is the Yaesu MH-1 microphone and the original Operations manual.
The service manual and copious amounts of relevant information on this model is available on the internet.
Once again, PICK UP ONLY and no returns.
