*** SOLD SOLD Kenwood TS2000X

Deceased Estate - a Kenwood TS2000X in very good condition - full output on all bands 160 metres through 1.2 GHz.   

With the prices of new transceivers going up and basically nothing on the market that does all bands from 160 metres through to 1.2Ghz in the one package, the TS2000X still represents excellent value for money. 

There is a very well balanced comparative review of the TS2000 by AF5CC at https://www.eham.net/reviews/view-product/1249?page=1&per-page=10, remembering that the Xmodel also has 1.2GHz.

It may not have the fancy SDR display, but it sure has enough buttons to keep a button pusher happy for hours!     It is also still the go-to rig for those involved in satellite qsos.

This particular transceiver was always used sparingly, predominantly for VHF/UHF field day contests from a home station.     

The serial number is A8C00005  which means a manufacture date of December 2008 - it has the 2SC5125  BJT version amplifier transistors and has had the known unreliable ceramic filters professionally replaced with the LTM455EW and LTM455CW filters.   

I would prefer to sell to a Melbourne operator as the original boxes are not available.    The TS2000X weighs 8 Kg, so boxing and freight would be around $50 Standard or $100 Express post.   

The full user manual, service manual and service manual supplement in folders, are suppled. - including the original  A1 size circuit diagrams.
