Go analogue - learn how to tune up a valve final! Classic Kenwood Hybrid transceiver TS-520 for sale - the first of the famous hybrids. The TS-520 is a 1970s transceiver covering 160-10 meter bands, featuring valve finals (2x original Matsushita S2001). It has 100W+ PEP output on SSB built-in AC/DC power supplies, a noise blanker, VOX, and an RIT. It is known for its durability.
The radio is in good condition for its age. High Voltage capacitors have been replaced and the set re-aligned. It has the Yg-3395C CW-filter and the YG-3395S SSB-filter. The radio comes with its 240v Australian power lead and an original user manual and service manual. If you need a suitable microphone I can sell you a good MC-50 for $100.

This is the first model in the lineup, and set the standards for all transceiver manufacturers to follow. Completely self contained, sophisticated circuitry, easy to tune and operate, and, as we've found out in the last 35 years, easy to maintain. Dual conversion receiver, VOX, a REAL noise blanker, 25KHz calibrator, RIT, 100W+ output, stable VFO, and excellent SSB audio. The basic TS-520 is considered by purists to be the best of the breed, the first and foremost of the Hybrids.
I prefer not to post this unit because of its size and weight. Pick up or I can deliver in greater Sydney. Make me an offer.
