I purchased this amazing little rig (Serial #12005488) from Ross out of pure curiosity, and the expectation that I might someday get to use it in a portable application in a patch of bushland I once used to own. That was just on five years ago. Well the second intention never came about, and it probably never will. My curiosity has persisted however, and I continue to be amazed at its almost limitless capabilities, many of which I haven’t even touched upon. So, after a few days it’s back in the cupboard, and the antenna gets connected to its big brother (IC-7300) once again. I can almost hear it sigh ...
It deserves better than this; realistically I need to pass it on to someone who will put it to work. So it’s for sale. Reluctantly.
It comes with the original box and everything therein, the desk top base (IC-MBF-705), and a fully printed spiral bound Advanced Manual (224 A4 pages). I would rather not have to commit it to the risks associated with postage, but it will be very well packed if it has to be that way.
It’s only been outside the shack to confirm the GPS operation, and it can only be described as being in as new condition. It’s had very little use at all – mostly as a very good and sensitive little receiver. The full specs and plenty of reviews are out there - truly it can be described as a complete shack in a handbag.
Price: $1450 collect at Balaklava SA. Postage and packing is somewhere around $50 extra. Delivery within 100km can be considered.
