Description
The Icom MXA-5000 dual channel AIS (Automatic Identification System) receiver allows boat owners to receive AIS information (both Class A and Class B AIS signals) on two channels simultaneously and outputs this real-time information to a computer, radar or a chart plotter, thus aiding navigation and collision avoidance.
Inclusion:
This AIS receiver one of the best in the market, having now tested quite a few. This unit has a built in antenna splitter unlike most units in the market. This feature lets one connect their marineVHF transceiver on a single antenna with this receiver in line. It is in excellent condition as new. Used in my marine rescue base. Surplus to my requirement as I now have AIS integrated into my transceiver. The unit comes with the original power cable, mounting hardware, manual and the homebrewed data cable to attach to a PC.
Asking $350 plus postage. They retail for $600.
