For sale Eddystone 840C receiver (c1961). Suit collector/restorer.
Was working when last powered on (many, many years ago). I cannot demonstrate the receiver working because I lack a suitable isolation transformer. It probably needs electrolytic caps replaced anyway.
Good condition for its age, case has some scratches.
The power input circuitry has been modified by the addition of a bridge rectifier and filter components. There is evidence of an electrolytic cap leak on the inside of the case. (all prior to my ownership) (see photos).
Power supply: Mains: 100-125 / 200-250 V (AC or DC)
NOTE: There NO power transformer! It has a HOT CHASSIS !!
Pickup only, it’s very heavy. However, I am happy to hold the receiver until the buyer is able to collect it.
