Hello fellow hams
I have for sale components that I had amassed for the construction of a dual tetrode amplifier, which unfortunately I will never get around to finishing.
Part A – sell as 1 lot.
This consists of the following, :
Part B – sell individual (subject to demand)
All that is needed to complete the amp is the HV, Grid and Heater transformer and your time.
Please: Only purchase if you know what you are doing with this stuff. Should you come into contact with the HV DC, the most probable outcome will be a quick and painful death.
Total value is $2,310.00 At this juncture, my preference is to sell the entire lot for $1750.00 (Part A and Part B) but may consider parting out at the individual list prices, depending on how things go and the responses I get.
All items available for inspection at my QTH.
I am open to resonable offers, with the emphasis on "resonable". Silly offers will not be responded to. Honestly, If there is little intreest, im quite happy to keep and finish off one day!!

- An absolutely gorgeous case I had fabricated from aluminium / stainless steel. The case has a solid 6mm aluminium from panel and heavy duty handles.530mm de ep, 500mm wide x 230mm high, excluding protrusions) This alone cost me almost $400 to have fabricated. - UNDER OFFER
- Plate and load capacitors, complete with stepper motor drive. NLFS
- Serious band switch with stepper motor drive. NLFS
- Plate & Tune loading coils. SOLD
- 6mm Copper tube coils (not mounted) SOLD
- Plate choke (x2) SOLD
- 240v input filter & step start relays SOLD
Part B – sell individual (subject to demand)
- 2 x brand new GU74B / 4CX 800A Tetrodes $350.00 each SOLD
- 2 x 6mm thick Teflon Chimneys $30.00 each SOLD
- 2 x SK-1A Sockets $50.00 each SOLD
- 1 x plenum box, for the blower $10.00 SOLD
- 1 x fully assembled (by me) G3SEK tetrode boards (tested and fully operational) These are no longer available, and are regarded as one of the best tetrode controllers / sequencer / protection systems $400.00
- DC / Capacitor power supply, consisting of 8 x 450v, 500uF capacitors. This includes the balance resistors and the current sense. ex-Andrews Comms DX1600 amplifier. Has been constructed on a PCB, fully enclosed with an aluminium frame and Perspex top. $200.00
- Full LED display / control. This is ex Andrews Comms DX1600 amplifier. Almost identical to the Emtron one. $180.00
- High power 50 ohm load 10 / 11m filter ex TENTEC $60.00
