SCHURR ''Portable Wabbler'' Morse Code CW paddle. Hand built in Germany approximately a 1985-1990 vintage by Gerhard Schurr, DH2SAA (SK.) Everything is hand machined even the tiny screws and every edge has a 45 degree bevel. It has spring retention, highly polished hardened steel pivots with absolutely no side movement, solid silver contacts and fine thread count on all adjustment points. To operate a German handmade paddle of this calibre that is as tight, smooth and responsive as a modern bearing and magnets paddle is truly a joy. This paddle is now becoming a collectors item in the CW collectors community. Simply the best.
Approximately 40 years old and never been restored is a true testament to SCHURR'S abilities to machine work and home remedy laquer coating.
Except for minor laquer natural aging marks which gives it character, it has never been restored or heavily cleaned. Only brushed over with my wife's personal favourite makeup brush. I stole it from her when it was new and she hasn't even noticed. And wiped over with a micro fibre glasses cleaning cloth.
Comes with 3 pairs of spare clear plexiglass paddles.
Keep a eye out on VK CLASSIFIEDS for a as-new immaculate ICOM IC-7600 transceiver as I'm retiring from Ham Radio.
