I am clearing out my work space and have a EMI receiver EM-2115 / EMC-30 MK IV that is to go. It has problem with the first 10 bands 9kHz to 30MHz which rely on special varactor diode clusters for tuning the RF input filters. These have failed. The input filter clusters use 30 of 1N5714 (Crystalonics): 210pf +/-20% at 4V (Motorola equivalent 1N5421), 0-100V tuning, used which are now no longer available and I cannot find any supplier for these. All other functions, receiving 30MHz to 1GHz, GPIB, all work. I don’t have time to build a substitute matching varactor networks & modifications to bring full functionality back. So the whole unit now is ‘for parts’ or scrap. Comes with full, complete service manual with schematics.
