Description
You are bidding on an SB-22 / PT, US Army telephone switchboard. I have tried to return it to its original state. I have replaced faulty Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and had the external case professionally spray-painted in US Army Olive Drab - see photos.
All original equipment manufactured components are present, except:
When my kids were younger, I thought we would all go camping using telephones between the tents. Unfortunately, my kids were not interested in camping. So, this switchboard is surplus.
Packaging
I make no charge for packaging. Your item will be properly wrapped and packed to withstand the usual rigors of postal and courier delivery systems.

The switchboard weighs 11.7 kg bare, more when packaged for shipping. Dimensions for shipping are 44 x 20 x 36 cm.
You may collect this switchboard from me. If you want it shipped, ask me to quote the shipping charge; why?
- It can handle 12 independent 2-wire field telephones.
- Each LRU (TA-222) shows a drop-down flag when an external telephone operator calls the switchboard. There are four spare LRUs of unknown condition.
- There is a hand-driven crank for signalling distant telephones.
- You need a handset with a U-77 connector.
All original equipment manufactured components are present, except:
- One of the two latches on the battery and binding post section; the other latch works correctly in locking this section.
- One of the two telephone wire exits needs rebuilding – all the parts are present.
- The battery sleeve is corroded internally – this is no big problem; you can easily use modern-day Li-ion batteries instead.
- use it for its original purpose as a field telephone switchboard
- use the case for your own purpose, eg, as a First Aid carry-all, or a lunch box
- add it to your collection of military field memorabilia.

- Australia Post calculates postage based on the weight and dimensions I have given. Sendle calculates postage based on the same weight and dimensions.
