Description
Vintage Universal Avometer Model 8 mk3 in fair condition. Battery compartment is clean but signs of mild corrosion removal. I removed what I thought was corrosion but I actually found that it was blue paint to mark the negative terminal! Requires stand "D cell" and a 15v battery (available online sites). Plastic case appears to be have been broken and repaired (Please contact me for further pix of this). The Rear instruction plate is scratched but quite readable – see picture. No test leads but uses standard 4mm banana plugs. Quickly tested on Ω range, DC volts using 1.5 and 9 volt batteries and AC volts using 0 -250v variac – all seems OK but no warranty expressed or implied. Carry Case is in fair condition for age and needs re-stitching – see pictures for detail. Pickup in Ocean Reef / Joondalup WA Or post at buyers’ cost, probably around $22
