HP 11721A FREQUENCY DOUBLER - Transverter Tester ?

                  I'm still clearing out old Inventory...

Up For Sale are a couple of very versatile HP Frequency Doublers.

Fit one to your 500 MHz or 1 GHz Sig Gen to get a very loud Doubled Frequency Output...

or...

Pump it with a/any nominal Frequency to deliver your desired doubled Output Signal to use as a Reference Frequency for checking your Transverters...

So as an example... +10 @ 1 GHz will give a very loud -4 dBm O/P on 2 GHz.
Ditto 1201.50 MHz for a similar O/P level on 2403 MHz...

While HP only specifies these units to work up to 2600 MHz... I can assure you they will deliver O/P signals at much higher Frequencies albeit with Lower Output Levels.

My Testing has showed these units deliver significantly loud Signals on 5760 & 10368 MHz... more than enough for any Transverter checking/testing.

These units obviously work best as x2 (Even Doublers) but they will still work well with x4 or x6 & even higher multiples with reduced O/P levels.
You can use them with odd Multiplications (x3, x5 etc.) but they are not as efficient as Even multiplications.

Both units have been tested OK and both are in lovely condition.
Selling $85 each.
