Description
You are sussing out a pair of Digitech 500 mW, 80-ch walkie talkies - see photos. Digitech claims 3 km radial range. As I have not tested this, please take it as advertising. I opened the sales packaging to take the photos.
All original equipment manufactured components are present, including:
When I was much younger in the Boy Scouts, I loved to go bush walking; many kids my age then did, too. I purchased this pair for chatting with my kids when we went bush walking. To start with, we tried some Vietnam-era PRC-10 transceivers, but they were too heavy. Then we tried German FSE sets, but keeping the antennas on their headgear was a pain. Then I bought this pair, but the kids just weren’t interested in communicating while bush walking.
So, this pair of walkie talkies is available, unused, still in its original clamshell packaging.

- There are often differences between what Australia Post's and other carriers' online calculators show, and what they actually charge. Generally, Australia Post uses the quickest delivery method, such as one of the more expensive Air Mail modes.
- Australia Post includes insurance up to AU$100 and tracking as part of the carriage charge. Some carriers include neither insurance nor tracking. If the total transaction including shipping exceeds AU$100 and you choose Australia Post as your carrier, for your and my peace of mind it will be wise to have extra insurance cover. So, you must ask me to quote you for such additional delivery services as tracking, signature on receipt or a different level of insurance cover.
- If you are outside Australia and choose a carrier other than Australia Post, I will include tracking and add it as a charge.
- Payment
- If you are in Australia, I will accept payment by direct bank transfer, Money Order, or PayPal, but not posted cash. It is often cheaper to pay by bank transfer than by Money Order or PayPal.
- I will accept cash if you collect the item from me.
- If you are outside Australia, I will only accept payment by bank transfer, Money Order or PayPal. All payments must be in AU$, unless we agree otherwise before your payment.
