Description
This is a Wireless Set Number 62. It is a backpack AM transmitter and receiver. It covers 2 to 8 mhz in 2 bands. It also has a crystal position. Made in Australia. This one is a wreck. It has been wet and has rust and corrosion. It is missing parts: valves, valve shields, dyno, main dial click stop mechanism, screws. It has the wrong meter. The bakelite board on top of the tuning capacitor is broken. The drop cords are perished, one is missing the connector. It appears almost complete, apart from the things just mentioned. It does have a good case. It has the roller inductor, which alot of the WS62 are missing, especially the ones from the UK. Use it for parts, or do a careful restoration, a just put it on a shelf to look at. The manual is here.... http://www.tuberadio.com/robinson/Manuals/WSNo62.pdf. There is an article here.... http://www.tuberadio.com/robinson/museum/WSNo62/
