Kenwood AT-230 Antenna Tuner / Matcher
Here is another offering from a deceased Estate and while mentioned in previous listings regarding these Estate items, all net proceeds are transferred to the Widow.
This tuner as can be seen from the photos could stand some TLC in so far as the paint on the top of the casing is concerned. The rust is purely surface rust and should clean up with an emery rubdown and repaint.
The rear panel shows that it has had some regular use as evidenced by the rub marks around the SO239 connectors.
Note that the terminal for Antenna 3 has been changed from a single wire ceramic binding post to another SO239 connector.
The rust stain on the top of the tuner seems to have been caused during the storage of a couple of years in a garage and prior to that, I suspect that it was used in activities similar to POTA or SOTA by the deceased.
As with all these listings, they are “AS IS” “WHERE IS” and the photos form part of the description.
It has been inspected and seems to be fully functional despite the negative aspect of the case condition.
Do your research on this item and you will find that the Kenwood AT-230 is a well-respected antenna to radio interface.
Pick up is preferred from Caulfield South or will post within Australia at purchasers cost when postage costs are known. For posting, it may not be the physical weight of the package but the cubic mass, H x W x D.
