Description
As new with 3+m RG8 coax and cable to power the remote control to tune the capacitor (12v required)
To buy new on that large online site from the manufacturer is over $600. Search ID # 306408139851 or 2e0ero. The current add says it is a new model – I can see no difference other than they have called it 8 band and included 11m which would involve no change. But up to the buyer to confirm. I bought mine about a year ago and it has had very limited use and has always been kept indoors.
I bought the loop for a QRP rig. I did a lot of research. I have since bought an IC-7300 which is too powerful. I found it excellent regarding on 40 – 15 but critical / difficult to tune the higher bands. There is a switch which if sprayed with cleaning solvent (as suggested by the manufacturer) helped considerably. Why, I have no idea. I found it somewhat directional - it favoured 90 degrees forward of the active element.
I have marked the appproximate tuning capacitor positions for each band. There is slight discolouration where I have sprayed the switch. Please see my photos.
It is beautifully built. I have the original packaging so safe posting is not a problem. Approximate dimensions are 500mm sq x 200mm. Pick up from welcome in North Sydney.
