Hello All
Available for sale is this rare item. An Emtron DX3 amplifier running a single GU78B tube which has been professionally converted to a single band 6m amplifier. This amplifier is ideal for 6M EME work and provides approx 2KW with about 40 watts of drive.
Most of the original DX3 features have been maintained - ie soft start at 3 minute warm up, overdrive protection.
Tune / Load is accomplished with Vac Caps as pictured not air variables.
The GU78B tube is in excellent condition
This amp is heavy - over 30kg - so not easily freighted but can be collected here in Hervey Bay. Would be open to a road trip for the right buyer if my petrol costs are covered. Obviously buyer would need to demonstrate necessary licensing qualifications and experience with tube amplifiers of this calibre.
