Description
Gidday All,
In the hope of promoting more activity, I have recently spent many hours building up and Tuning a few PA's for 2.4 GHz.
These are quite High Gain units.
A mere 100 Milliwatts will give 500-600 Milliwatts Out but all units will deliver about 9 Watts (PSAT) with a maximum RF Drive of 1.5 Watts.
They are not the prettiest units around but when integrated into your current Tx Chain or as an outboard PA used with your Coax Relays... they are complete and ready to go.
Simply apply -5 Volts (Sequenced) and Switched +10 Volts @ circa 1.25 Amps Quiescent rising a bit on Ttansmit.
The 4 units have their I/O Cables mounted on top of the Heatsink.
The Buyer can of course rejig these I/O lines to suit.
All units will probably need a bit more Heat sinking or a small Fan.
If you Switch the +10 Volts OFF during Receive... maybe not.
Each unit will come with it's own Spec's Sheet.
Selling your choice of Unit for $50 each.
I'm hoping to do a similar thing for 3.4 GHz, 5.7 GHz and 10 GHz.
On 10 GHz I'm currently dabbling with 2 & 4 Watt units but I'm having a few issues.
So maybe as an Outboard PA for the many IC-905 being used ?
See PIX of a Prototype 4 Watt unit.
If there is any interest in these Projects drop me an Email.
Cheers,
Alan - VK3XPD.
