ICOM PW1 upgrade board, 1 left worldwide

This is the last Icom PW1 upgrade board on the planet. We searched for months, Icom Japan and Icom Australia sent enquiries all around the globe searching for this elusive board.  We got very lucky with a US Icom distributor finding one left and my many thanks to Icom Australia in conjunction with Icom Japan who liaised a succesusful purchase. This is the board that takes the IC-PW1 up to next level that only the last production runs included after complaints regarding the through antenna connection to the radio only being available if the amplifier was always turned on. This board also allowed antenna and input and most importantly, allows band changes while the amplifier was turned off as well with full memorised antenna switching to make life so much simpler.  I had a PW1 at one stage that didnt have that board installed and I've owned numerous PW1 amps over the years so I can't remember exactly who the amp went to but suffice to say, that PW1 was sold before my fully paid for board actually arrived and I have since changed out to my Icom IC-PW2 solid state amplifier, hence this extremely rare board is up for sale to a PW1 owner who is sick and tired of the deficits of the early model.

The board is not a difficult change over but I am retired from any of this type of work and yourself or your technician is able to fit I'm sure, so pls know Im not unfortunately able to install.

There are absolutely none of these left on the planet and if I still owned an Icom ICPW1 amp, I'd keep as a back up but no need for it with the PW2.

As you will see, by the time we post to the buyer, we are not trying to profit from this board, see pix of the costs in USD and conversion to AUD, hopefully it helps someone out in desperate need of it whether just to upgrade or to get a non working PW1 back up and running.

$450 posted to your door to cover costs, this is one rare item you will most probably never get the opportunity to ever buy again, and even if you have a late model PW1, if your board dies, you have a very expensive heavy brick as its not economically repairable, this statement was from Icom Japan who knew of quite a few PW1 units declared inable to repair that needed this board but they were sure none available worldwide. They were close to being right,  there was one hidden away in the USA. This board is not only a godsend if you are needing to leave your pw1 on constantly to use your radio but its an insurance policy if you are unfortunate enough to blow your existing board up and then find out, none available worldwide.
