Description
Selling on behalf of another ham, a Ameritron AL-811, 600W PEP, 160m - 10m amplifer.
Working as it should and in very good condition, with a new set of 3 x 572B valves installed.
It has the following W8JI updates installed. See https://www.ctrengineeringinc.com/ and https://www.w8ji.com/ for details.
1. HV glitch resistor.
2. Gas Discharge Tube flashover protection.
3. 200 Ohm input stabilisation resistor.
4. Dual speed, high volume cooling fan.
With these updates and new valves, there is around $300 invested to bring the amplifier to its present condition.
As there is no original box for this amplifier, it is for sale in VK6 only. I can deliver as far as the Perth metro area or arrange to meet if further afield.
